Why Should Cheap SEO Packages Be Avoided

As we discussed in our previous blog that a lot of businesses have the misconception that investing in SEO is a redundant and inconvenient cost. In an attempt to save money, they choose cheap SEO services which not only waste money but also provide backlinks from irrelevant websites or stuff them with as many instances of the target keyword as possible. With this, rankings may rise initially but could later lead to being penalized by Google for using black-hat SEO techniques.

Which is why there are a few reasons to avoid cheap SEO packages:

1. Cheap Packages do not deliver much
High-quality content and backlinks are the most important aspects of SEO, both of which require a lot of labor and capital. Companies that offer cheap services lack the capital and the resources required to create high-quality content and to pay for placements on quality sites. They use generic content and article spinning software that scrape online articles and make them appear like new posts. The articles may appear original but are plagiarised versions from other websites.
2. Sub-standard Link Building Doesn’t Move the Needle
There was an emphasis on quantity over quality when link building first emerged. There was a lesser need for engaging content because companies with the most links to their website achieved favorable organic search results. Investing in services like these is a waste of financial resources these days because Google not only ignores but also penalizes and removes such websites from organic results.
3. One Size Definitely Does Not Fit All
Since no two businesses can ever be the same, individual strategies should be made according to the needs, circumstances, and objectives of each individual client, which only reputable SEO providers pay attention to. Whereas, cheap SEO agencies have little interest in a business and its core objectives.
4. You Have No Leverage to Hold Cheap SEO Firms Accountable
Since the focus of cheap SEO providers is to create a huge number of clients, they do not try to create long-term business relationships. This makes it difficult to hold them accountable in case of bad service.
5. Cheap SEO Providers Can’t Deliver a Long-term Strategy
Cheap SEO providers try to secure one-off payments meaning that they can deliver only short-term campaigns which provide little or no value for money.
Conclusion

It is tempting to be drawn towards cheap SEO packages, however, it is important to prioritize value over cost. In short, one must avoid agencies that guarantee quick first page rankings or keep the ownership of the content that they provide for your website.
